Transforming relationships.

As a marriage and family therapist, my goal is to provide quality, personalized mental health care. Whether you’re seeking assistance on an individual basis for anxiety, OCD, ADHD, or depression, or as a couple for relationship repair, I’m here to help. I offer virtual sessions to California residents using a HIPAA-compliant platform so that you can engage in therapy from the privacy and comfort of your own home. I help my clients get to know themselves on a deeper level, while teaching and practicing ways to cultivate stronger, healthier habits.

How I work

I utilize multiple therapeutic approaches to address your specific needs. Each client is unique and will respond differently to therapeutic interventions, which is why I take the time to get to know you before determining which approach(es) will work best in our journey together. If at any time you feel like something isn’t working, I welcome a discussion to see how we can pivot.

My approach

Anxiety, OCD, ADHD:

Anxiety and OCD can be debilitating. What starts out as adaptive responses to everyday happenings can turn into ritualized, time consuming behaviours that feel impossible to overcome. You may get to the point of feeling lost, and even hopeless, as your symptoms continue or get worse. Even if it doesn’t feel like it right now, there is hope – things can get better. I utilize Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mastery Approach, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindful Self-Compassion approaches to help you understand your anxiety and OCD and learn ways to outsmart it.

Living with ADHD can feel like every day is a battle. Getting distracted, forgetting important things, and/or feeling so overwhelmed that nothing seems possible are just a few of the experiences I’ve heard from clients struggling with ADHD. The key is learning how to work with the ADHD rather than against it. I help my clients do this using a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).

The specific approach/combination of approaches used depends entirely on each individual client, and is discussed during the assessment process.

Relationships:

Navigating relationships can be tricky, to say the least. I believe the most important element of any relationship is communication. Breakdowns in communication are common and may go undetected for months, or even years. Becoming aware of how we communicate and adjusting appropriately can make all the difference in our interactions moving forward. My goal is to help you and your partner become effective communicators. My therapeutic style is down to Earth and compassionately curious.

I primarily use Imago Relationship Therapy to help repair relational ruptures, rebuild trust, and develop effective ways of communicating that soon become second nature. I also incorporate elements of Gottman Therapy, Mindfulness, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
